Ashley Harris Whether you are browsing or actively looking for a photographer, I want to welcome you to my website! My name is Ashley Harris. I am 24 and married to the greatest man in the world. We live in Auburn, Al and have 3 gorgeous labradors. I am an outgoing, down to earth person who never meets a stranger. I smile a lot and love to make others smile as well. I love photography as you may guess, music, family, lazy sundays after church, travel, playing with our dogs, and watching our favorite tv shows. I have been a photographer for 8 years, 4 years professionally, and I have owned my own company for 2 years. How I got started: Photography has been a passion of mine since I was very young. I never really thought of it as a job, more as a relaxing hobby. But the more I learned and the more photos I took, I felt the pull closer and closer to my "calling." I can't remember a gathering, event, or milestone in my life I don't have a thousand pictures of. I've just always valued photos which started when I got my very first camera: a bright orange and green nickelodeon camera. From there my equipemtent and eye for detail got better. Eventually I started taking photos for the yearbook staff in jr. high, high school, and in college. I got a job with the true fan photography at Jordan-Hare stadium in Auburn while attending the University and I worked as a contract photographer for several places. I realized that my best option was to branch out on my own and start up my own business. So that's what I did. So many ask how I got my name: I got my business name from well...my name; Ashley Renee Colvin Harris. I've always heard if your initials spell out a word, it's meant to be highlighted! Wise words :) I enjoy every minute of my "work" and I am so thankful for this gift I was given by God. So feel free to look around and I look foward to the opportunity to work with you! |
